Plastic--Ugh. It's inescapable. Trying to completely eliminate it is just not practical and frankly, overwhelming. So, I'm working to reduce our single use plastic a bit at a time and with sensible swaps.
Food storage was an easy place to start.
#1 Silicone Stretch Lids:
A simple replacement for plastic wrap on bowls, cups, cans and containers. They stretch to fit, go in the dishwasher and can be used over and over. Plus, the plastic stretch wrap never really clings anyway! We've been using these and really like them.

#2 Reusable Food Bags:
Just thinking about how many hundreds of plastic sandwich, snack, and gallon, baggies I and my family have thrown away is disturbing. Swapping them out for reusable ones has been easy and it feels great not constantly throwing single use ones away. I still have some leftover single use baggies on hand, but haven't needed to purchase any since swapping out for the reusable ones.

Stasher bags are sturdier, more premium option for food storage, freezing and meal prep. The smaller pocket bags are handy for nuts, fruit, and snacks.
#3 Beeswax Wrap:
A different reusable alternative to plastic wrap for covering bowls, wrapping cheese, fruit, bread and other foods. Great for when the stretch lids don't fit (like on half a watermelon). It comes in a roll just like the plastic one and you can cut pieces to the size you need. Use, rinse, re-use.
#4 Glass Food Storage:
I've swapped out glass containers for the plastic ones. Glass is durable, it's easy to see what's inside and much better to microwave in than plastic. I opt for square and rectangular ones because they fit better in cupboards and in the fridge.

#5 Reusable Produce Bags:
