Don’t Forget Your Hands!

We spend so much time protecting our faces, but our hands get a surprising amount of sun exposure too—especially when we’re driving.

The skin on the tops of the hands is thin and often one of the first places to show signs of aging and dark spots. The best protection is simple: sunscreen. For me, the key is making it easy enough that I’ll actually use it.

I like to keep the pump version at home and in the car, because it makes it so much easier to use—which means I’ll actually use it. And I keep the tube versions in my bag for easy reapplication on the go.

My favorites are:

Eucerin Daily Hydration Lotion with SPF 15 Pump Bottle
This is the one I like to keep at home and in the car (the side pocket of the driver's door works great). The pump bottle is easy, practical and perfect for everyday use when I want moisture and sun protection in one step.

Eucerin Daily Hydration Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Body Cream
A great tube option to keep in my bag.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 UV SPF 50
This is another good one to keep in a bag. It is richer, more protective and especially nice when my hands are feeling dry.

One Small Habit That Makes a Difference

Just keep sunscreen where you’ll actually reach for it:

  • pump bottle at home

  • pump bottle in the car

  • tube in your bag

That simple setup makes it much more likely that hand sunscreen becomes a real habit instead of another good intention. Your hands will thank you in the future!
